So here we have the JA’s a weaver fronted lace up shoe.
These shoes have been developed by us, by request by one of our customers. 2 years ago he mentioned a shoe he remembered from the those days. I kind of got the style but couldnt place the design straight away. So for the next 18 months there was some friendly back and forth of ‘Is it this ?’ Eventually we found a picture. That picture was a pair from 1969. So of course after that we got them made
As you can see from the pictures there are all leather. The have a weave effect on the front. As you may know , this technique is intriact to do.
In terms of styling, these can be worn Semi-Casual , to Smart. We are thinking good jeans upwards, but really these are a trousers or chinos shoe. Combined with a Jackpot shirt and trousers these are gonna be a really good stand out look.

We use the following size conversions. Please be aware that different designs are designed to be bigger than others. We try our best on the product page to mention sizing.
Men’s Sizes
UK | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 | 11 | 12 |
Euro | 40 | 41 | 42 | 43 | 44 | 45 | 46 |
US | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 | 11 | 12 | 13 |
Please Note that are shoes are made mainly in Spain & Portugal and Euro to UK Conversion means that the shoes normally come up a little big. The reason is that a 43, is more like 9 and 1/4.

I’ve bought a pair of JA’s in black last March. They were very quickly delivered to the Netherlands. About the JA’s; very nice shoes, comfortable from the start, took no time to break them in. Nice thick leather soles. Look good with jeans and the business with a suit or sta-press.

Hi is there any chance of the plain top ones, as per my last message, thanks in advance, I have your shoes in many styles, love them.

I have a pair of these in black. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the great design; excellent value! It’s also refreshing to have something a bit different that remains true to our style. I have an old Frank Wright pair with a plain top but they’re so old I don’t wear them much; these are an excellent replacement and look every bit as good as the 70’s version.
You won’t be disappointed with the JA’s

As I remember there were plain caps now called Derby, brogues, and these called Gibson from the Ivy shop in Richmond but never had basket weave on the top, please make a plain top one to complete my collection. Cheers
