At 66 and Modshoes, we love putting our own spin on things. After some time in the making, we’re excited to introduce our own collection of silk scarves—and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

Inspiration comes from Paul Weller’s striking scarf in the Going Underground video. Its bold presence against a white background and dark suit stood out to us

I’ve always liked a good silk scarf, but one of my favourites over the years was actually wool backed. And that’s what got me thinking about making these.

This particular one is inspired by the adapters we had back in the day , and still use for those old Jukebox records you could get.

You see, a silk scarf looks great, but on a cold autumn or winter day, especially if you’re heading out on a scooter, it doesn’t offer much warmth. Add a wool backing, though, and you’ve got the best of both. The lovely look and feel of silk on the outside, with proper wool against your neck keeping you warm.

So that’s what we’ve done.

The front is 100% silk, with a 100% wool backing and tasselled ends. They’re a generous 64 inches long and 10 inches wide, so there’s plenty of material to wrap around your neck or tuck into a jacket.

We really pleased with them. They feel lovely in your hands, have a nice weight to them and look even better in real life than they do in the pictures.

We’ve only made around 50 of each design, so these are small-batch scarves, made especially for 66 Clothing.
