Introducing the 66 Clothing JJ26s Selvedge Jeans, new for 2026, in a classic dark denim.

These are selvedge jeans, meaning they’re made in the traditional way – about as close as you’ll get to how jeans were produced in the 1950s and 60s. Now, some might say “so what?” – but here’s why it matters.

When you turn these up and wear them with a roll, you’ll see the twin red selvedge lines on the inside seam. That detail isn’t decoration – it’s the mark of old-style production, woven on narrow looms rather than mass-produced wide rolls. It’s a small thing, but it’s the sort of detail you simply won’t get on most high-street jeans.

We also made a very deliberate choice with the weight of the denim. Traditional selvedge is often extremely heavy – great if you’re after a full-on 50s biker or rocker look, but not so great when it feels like cardboard to wear.
The JJ26s use a more wearable selvedge fabric: structured enough to hold shape, but comfortable from day one. These are jeans you can actually live in.

You’ll notice they come in a 34” leg length. That’s intentional. Once turned up properly, you’ll lose around 1–2 inches, leaving you with an effective 32” leg — the most versatile length, especially with loafers, trainers or boots.

The photos show the jeans worn with a proper vintage-style turn-up. To get that clean, slim roll, most people will need to shorten the leg slightly first, then turn them up to suit their height and preferred look. Some customers also choose to put a couple of small stitches in the turn-up to keep it sitting neatly. A local tailor — or anyone handy with a sewing machine — can do this very easily.

In other words, they are designed to be customised a little — just like people did originally.

Sizing

When purchasing, we recommend measuring your waist. Many famous brands use vanity sizing, so while you might have been a ’28’ years ago, it’s likely you’re not anymore! Personally, I have a bit of a belly, and these jeans sit comfortably on the hips with a mid-rise cut. As you can in the pictures they are from a skinny fit, but a reg to slim fit, so if in doubt size up.
