The Dusty
These stylish shoes have a real retro feel and we absolutely love them ! Called “The Dusty” after 60’s icon Dusty Springfield, we feel that these gorgeous shoes will suit those looking for the elegance of 40’s, 50’s and 60’s styling. They look amazing with a dress, but work equally well with jeans or casuals. The Dusty really is the “go to” shoe for any occasion.
If you are looking for a shoe that combines elegance with all day comfort, then the Dusty is the one for you. The heel height is 3 inches, but because of the sturdy block shape, you just don’t feel that “wobble” that makes a more spindly high heel a scary prospect !
You will see from the numerous fab reviews how much our customers love their Dustys. In fact they can prove addictive, many customers come back again and again for more colours to add to their collection.
As far as sizing is concerned, the Dusty is fairly true to normal UK size. If you are between sizes, then probably best to go down rather than up. Width-wise they are generous and should accommodate most widths of feet.
The burgundy patent leather, has such a classic look about it, especially when combined with the contrast black piping. Notice the check detail on the heel, which give the Dusty it’s iconic quirky look. Take a look at the pictures below, and you can see just how unique and beautiful these shoes are.
The shoes are made for us in Spain, by a small, exclusive company that specialise in small runs and retro style.

I’m in love with these stunning Dusty’s!! So comfortable and stylish. I’m usually a size UK3 but after reading all the reviews decided to size down and ordered a size 2 and they fit perfect. My third pair of Mod Shoes now and will definitely be ordering more. Highly recommend!

This is my second pair of Dustys. They’re just as comfortable and even more beautiful than my first pair. I’m absolutely delighted and, to be honest, a little scared as I don’t think I’ll be able to resist a third pair !

Absolutely love these shoes. Only worn them once and can’t wait to wear them again. I’m normally a 6.5 and ordered 6 but sent back and got the 7. It’s a perfect size. Comfortable and very stylish. Now I’ve found mod shoes, I’ll be buying again and again.

I’m over the moon to have found these shoes. I’ve had both my feet and knees heavily operated on, and haven’t worn heels in about 5 years as they’re too painful. Finding the Dusty by chance has made my dreams come true: finally, beautiful heels I can walk and dance in! They are much lighter than I expected, and cushioned. The block heel doesn’t throw my weight forwards like other high heels and the round toe is super-comfy.
I am size 6 and ordered 2 sizes for comparison as recommended; I’m keeping the size 5 and returning the size 6 for an exchange. The only problem with these shoes is that I now want ALL THE COLOURS.

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. I bought a size 4, which is my actual size. I have slightly wide feet and these fit perfectly. I’m so chuffed to have a pair of funky shoes that don’t cramp your toes, these are really comfy. Saving for my next pair or two.

Beautiful, deep, shiny red shoes. I haven’t been anywhere in them yet, but I feel fancy as heck strutting around the house and garden. Excellent quality, lovely shape and super comfortable. Will most definitely be building a collection. Thank you!

These shoes are beautiful, they caught my eye straight away and I knew I had to have them. They are so comfortable despite the heel height, and made to an exceptionally high quality. I have received a number of compliments and look forward to ordering my next pair – I think I’m set on teal with the patterned heel next. A very happy customer!!

Sara –
Ok, let’s put it this way. I love heels but I like to be comfy….hence I struggle with most of the heeled shoes, Not this one though. My hubby couldn’t believe I could stomp around the city for hours and comfortably go to theatre without moaning once! And they are also BEAUTIFUL!
anne.bueringer –
Great shoes, comfortable, beautiful. Happy that i could order this pair in red color from mod shoes, as in Spain I didn’t get my size 38…Perfect delivery to Germany.

This shoes are amazing. They heel is the perfect high and super comfy. The shoes is overall are very comfortable, not heavy the just gorgeous. The shoes are sexxy with a little bit of sassiness.

I absolutely love this pair. The burgundy colour is so rich and instantly elevates every outfit. Very comfy too. I often struggle to find small shoes (size 2) so very impressed with ModShoes’ range of sizes!
Nora (verified owner) –
I love my wine red Dustys! I wore them for the first time to my PhD dissertation celebration dinner and they were very comfortable. I’m normally size 37 (UK4) but as recommended I went a size smaller for these ones and the fit is perfect. If the teal colour patent leather Dustys with the stripy heel are ever in stock again I’ll buy another pair just because!

These were a x-mas gift and she “loves, loves them!”. They are sexy, cute, stylish and she remarked several times how comfortable they are. I don’t know how comfortable they are, but they are definately sexy cute! Excellent quality, quick delivery to the US, and great customer service. Thank you.

Stylish shoes, size 5 fit true to size. Brought them for a Peaky Blinders event, had lots of lovely complements. Will definitely be purchasing some other colours as they are very comfortable.
louise.mccaig –
These shoes are gorgeous and very comfortable despite the high heel. They are very striking and stand out from what others wear. The unusual heel and these shoes attract attention and lots of compliments!

Brought these as a present to myself for my 40th – always loved my red shoes as a child . Absolutely love these, so comfortable, stylish and a conversation piece .
Bridie Waterhouse –
Beautiful shoes, definitely make any outfit appear retro and the colour works with most outfits as well. The service was lovely and they came very quickly, I’ve had them for a few months now and they’ve lasted very well

Love these shoes, so comfortable and easy to walk in if you are like me and not used to heels!! Been well admired by others mainly due to the unusual heel.
Rebecca Skinner –
If you’re looking for a pair of shoes that make a statement, these are it! Love the colour combination.
Emma (verified owner) –
Lovely comfortable shoes. The burgundy colour is just as it looks on my screen. As other reviewers have said, half a size smaller than usual fits perfectly (6 instead of 6 1/2). I have never been able to wear such a high heel but the soles are nicely soft, the heel doesn’t wobble and the slightly wider fitting means my toes don’t feel so squashed. I hope the black ones will be available in my size soon!

Love love love my first pair of mod shoes. The Dusty in burgundy red is sooo stylish, really comfortable to wear and I have had loads of comments about them . Your advice to go down if your normally a half size was spot on. Thank you mod shoes. Just ordered my second pair .

I bought these shoes as an accessory to my 1940s outfits – they look so glamorous, are really comfortable and make me feel so lady-like. Indeed, many ladies compliment me on them and ask me where I got them from, so I have probably contributed to Modshoes selling many more pairs!
Sarah North (verified owner) –
I don’t want to leave a review because I don’t want everyone knowing how fantastic these shoes are and then buying them! They are so comfortable to wear, I have them on all day and I’m on my feet all day and still they stay comfy! I love these so much I have 5 pairs in different colours. You definitely need a size smaller than usual as many reviewers say. You really won’t be disappointed with these shoes. The only problem is you may need to take out a loan to buy all the colours if you become addicted to them like me!

Claire G –
I fell in love with these shoes online and was slightly worried about what they would be like in real life. In fact, they exceeded my expectations – beautifully made, comfortable, really eye-catching. I’d have pairs in about 5 different colours if I could. I love the heel particularly. Highly recommended.
Nik Bewell –
