Out On The Floor AceTee — Inspired by Dobie Gray Northern Soul Classic

The Out On The Floor AceTee celebrates one of the true classics of Northern Soul. For so many of us, this was one of the first anthems we ever heard on the scene — the kind of track that instantly captures the excitement of the weekend, the energy of the dancefloor, and that unstoppable “just one more spin” feeling.

And the best bit?
It first landed in 1966, the perfect year for a 66 AceTee treatment… so of course we had to do it!

The bold “66” graphic is packed with typography inspired by the movement and rhythm of the tune — a visual nod to late-night clubs, packed floors, and that unmistakable Northern Soul spirit. On a navy tee it looks clean, smart, and properly retro without being too on-the-nose.

For anyone who loves the scene, loves the history, or just wants a tee that feels like a night out at its best, this one nails it.

The fabric is a 180g organic cotton – soft, lightweight, and ideal for everyday wear. They wash well too (as long as you follow the care instructions below!).

Perfect for off-duty days, these tees are cut with a relaxed, casual fit – just right when you want something easy but still with style.

Fit note: These are a standard fit, slightly more generous than our Downing Tees. If you usually wear an XL in 66 Clothing, this might feel a touch roomier than a Gabicci or other 66 tops. Please consult the chart below :-)
