This one has a couple of influences behind it.

The red, white and blue stripe has a touch of the classic Herbie racing colours about it, but Terry also had another image in mind — a shirt worn by Rick Buckler of The Jam around the *Absolute Beginners* period in 1981.

Rather than simply copying either, Terry has taken those references and turned them into a very simple 66 graphic.

It has that early-80s Mod feel without being an obvious Jam T-shirt, which is exactly what we liked about it.

There are little references in there for people who know, but even if you don’t know the story, it still works simply as a really strong T-shirt.

The fabric is 180g organic cotton, soft, lightweight and ideal for everyday wear. They wash well too, as long as you follow the care instructions below.

The AceTee has a relaxed, casual fit. It is slightly more generous than our Downing Tees, so if you usually wear an XL in 66 Clothing this may feel a touch roomier than a Gabicci or some of our other tops. Please consult the size chart below.
