Here we have “The Cooper” Desert Boot By Modshoes. We wanted to a really good desert boot in our range and now we have made one
Called the Cooper after Jimmy from Quadrophenia, the desert boot is a Mod staple, many people owning several pairs.
Perfect for casual wear, so many outfit possibilities, one that springs to mind is Jeans, Fred Perry Shirt, Yellow Socks and Boots
These boots have a good crepe sole, which we love as it gives a nice bounce when you walk compared cheap rubber. The inner is Tartan, we did this because we thought it would be a nice touch to match with the inner of a Harrington jacket.
Now we will mention price, we are doing these for £78 because we wanted to make a quality Desert boot and not skimp on materials etc. We also thought what is the point in doing a bog standard desert boot, that you can buy on the High street ? Modshoes tag line is “Smart Shoes For Smart People”, and our customer base like their shoes to be a cut above.
We had several requirements when we were having these developed, which we thought were important
1. Crepe Sole
2. 2 Hole with Ringlet, not just a hole
3. A Tartan Inner
4. The Suede to look really good
5. Not to be just another desert boot that you might as well buy on the high street
6. Traditional 60’s shape
These have been developed just for us by a good company in Portugal and they have come up trumps.
These do come up a little under size, I am 8.5 widish and had a 9 in these. So go up not down if you are wide. Ideally use the 2 pair scheme we do and send back what you dont need.
Sizes 6 – 12
